How do I move my data from another budgeting app to Budgey?+
Three steps: export your transactions from your current app as a CSV (or download CSVs from your bank), upload the file to BaoBot in Budgey and it imports everything, then optionally connect your banks with Budgey Unlimited so future transactions arrive automatically in your Review Inbox.
Can Budgey import CSV files?+
Yes. BaoBot handles CSV, Excel, PDF, and Word imports conversationally — upload a bank statement or an export from another app, and it creates the transactions with descriptions, amounts, dates, and matching categories. File uploads are part of Budgey Unlimited.
Do I lose my transaction history when I switch?+
Not if your old app (or your bank) can export it — BaoBot imports historical transactions from CSV, so your history comes with you. Many switchers import just the last few months and let bank sync handle everything going forward.
Do I have to pay to switch to Budgey?+
No. The free plan lets you set up your budget, categories, and a goal at no cost, with no trial clock.
